The distribution of air and water in an HVAC system requires the use of pressure sensors and controls to operate valves, dampers, pumps and fans. Pressure sensors are used to input a proportional value to a controller which in turn modulates the controlled device and can provide monitoring. Pressure switches are used to prove flow or act as limiters.
