The heart of any control system in the operation of heating and air conditioning equipment today is generally a digital controller. These devices replace the good old capillary type sensing elements that electric and pneumatic thermostats use and generally do a lot more by integrating analog and digital inputs and outputs into programmable functions.
Control parameters are configured through computer software and downloaded to the controllers. The digital controllers will operate very exactly and can provide local and remote monitoring and adjustment.
