8/5/2004 - Actuators
In temperature controls actuators can be divided into two basic types:
Electric Actuators
Pneumatic Actuators
There are also two prime applications of the actuators:
Dampers
Valves
The respective selection of any actuator depends on the size and function of the valve or damper. Most valves furnished today are selected with a pre-installed actuator with a valve linkage matched for the valve stroke and torque requirements. Actuators for dampers are often field installed because of installation in duct work and are sized for the damper square footage.
