All electronic control circuits require power including controllers, sensors and actuated devices. Generally the most common power supplies used today are 24 vac. The standard power supply for these circuits is the energy limited step down transformer i.e. 120 vac/24 vac. They can be panel mounted, hub mounted or plate mounted and are generally limited to 100 VA.
